- Generally we maintain our flock at around 65 breeding ewes, with a ram flock of over a dozen, so it is easy to put together a quality starter flock with genetic diversity.
- Our sheep come from over 12 states and provinces, as well as from UK genetics, through AI.
- A large portion of the flock is directly from the Dailley farm and thus representative of the 'original' Shetlands in North America.
- Through selective breeding we are more able to predictably get the usual colours that so many of our customers want. Ask about our modified colour breeding program.
|
- Dramatically spotted lambs are common at lambing time, and are always a delight to see.
- About 25% of the flock is made up of rare gulmoget patterned Shetlands. We have gulmogets in all colours, and with spotting.
- We are always adding rarer genetics to the flock.
- We are a 'work in progress'.
